INTD Member Resources

Learn more about member benefits and how to access this feature...

INTD Executive Director

So you joined INTD as a Travel Director or Tour Guide member, now what? You created your online profile and you may have applied for a job. Now is the time to focus on professional development and use INTD as a resource to maximize your career.

As a Platinum member, you have access to many resources directly from your member account page. One very important feature that was specifically implemented for professional development is called TD Tools and TG Tools (TD= Travel Director and TG= Tour Guide). When accessing this section from your account page, you will find various forms, templates and checklists that can be very useful as a freelance hospitality professional.

So what do you do with this information? If you are new to the industry or an experienced pro, many of the forms and checklists can provide much needed assistance when working on-site. Ever been at the end of a program and needed an expense report or invoice? Need a checklist when overseeing a pre-con meeting or not sure what to tip vendors on-site? Interested in brushing up on your interviewing skills when applying for a job? Want to promote yourself but don't have a professional business card?

This is where your membership to INTD comes in. Just log into your account 24 hours a day and presto; access on-site checklists, sample invoice, expense report and business card templates all with a click of a mouse! Want to share the information with your fellow staff members? Print out a few additional copies and help out your team as well as your client.

Companies are becoming more and more selective about who they hire to oversee their on-site logistics and manage their meetings and events. Being a member of INTD shows your clients that you are investing in your career and making every effort to set yourself apart from the others. With the current state of the economy and business slowing down, now is the time for freelance travel professionals to devote more time to networking, education and training.

At the end of the day, the ultimate goal of INTD is to streamline the contracting experience between travel directors and the companies who hire them and standardizing the process that this segment of our industry operates. As a member of International Network of Travel Directors, we hope that you will support this effort by using the resources located in TD/TG Tools!
