With more than twenty-five years of experience within the Hospitality and Event Planning industry, Dortha brings a depth of understanding and commitment to the professional execution of meetings, events, and incentive trips. Her extensive knowledge of destinations all over the world, strong industry relationships, and excellent ability to relate to people have served to gain respect from clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
In the early 1970's, Dortha began her career arranging incentives, conventions and business meetings for a company which specialized in handling major association group travel to Hawaii. During her subsequent (20) twenty-year career with Maritz Travel, she held positions in program, and then general management of a staff of event planners. She moved on to Sales, where she was responsible overall project management of a major West Coast account for their annual incentive trips to offshore destinations. She liased directly with their Vice President of Sales/Marketing, and had overall responsibility for site selection, budget, program content and supervision of the planning and operation involved for this client's incentive trips.
Since her retirement, she has continued to be involved as a consultant for corporate and event planning companies, managing projects and as an on-site travel director for Corporate User Conferences, Sales Meetings, Partner Conferences, Incentives and Board Meetings.
