Are you weary of this recession?

After leaving my position as a part-time Travel Director for a very large meeting planning company, I struck out on my own as a "freelancer". Unbeknown to me, it was six months away from the worst stock-market crash and economic crisis that our country has known since the Great Depression. Since the U.S. was already beginning to see signs of recession, the jobs during my first six months as a "freelancer" weren't many. However, once the economy crashed, the work was almost non-existant - 6 days total in the year following the crash. This has been a really tough year - and I know I'm not the only one in this industry to feel this way. This past weekend as I just felt really tired and overwhelmed by all of the time I've put in "networking" and sending out resumes, etc., etc., I wondered what I should do about this "recession fatigue". As I thought about it, I remembered a story my late mother-in-law told me decades ago. I decided to write about it in a blog called "Rest and Recovery". You can access the blog from the following link and read it and leave commments.
